Lox and Bagels Recipe

A classic but beloved recipe, lox and bagels are an American favorite. We pile premium Scottish or Norwegian smoked salmon on ours, with a good amount of cream cheese and a sprinkle of juicy capers.

Lox and Bagels Recipe

Ingredients

Directions
  1. Divide the bagels in separate plates. On each half of the bagels, spread a liberal amount of cream cheese.
  2. On one half of the bagel, place two folded slices of lox, 1 tsp. capers, a slice of tomato and a slice or two of red onions. Close with the other half and serve.

Q:Can fresh atlantic salmon be used for this recipe and if so what is the best way to prepare it?
A:We would recommend using lox (salt cured salmon), Gravlax or smoked salmon for the recipe. If you have fresh salmon available you can smoke it or cure it first and then try the recipe.
