Bourbon Brownies With Chocolate Frosting RecipeIngredients for batter2 ½ oz. butter5 ½ oz. bittersweet (70% cacao) chocolate1 tbsp. Bourbon Whisky2 large eggs1 cup sugar½ tsp. Baking powder¼ tsp. saltIngredients for frosting¾ cup chopped walnuts3.5 oz. bittersweet (70% cacao) chocolate3 tbsp. creamIngredients for garnish25/30 pcs. caramelized walnutsDirectionsPreheat oven to 375 F°.Line a 9-by-9-inch baking pan with parchment papers. Make sure the sides are lined and let some paper overlap over the edges. Butter the parchment paper and dust with flour, tapping the excess out.Place butter, chocolate and whisky in a double boiler and melt the chocolate.Beat the eggs with the sugar and the vanilla extract until light and frothy, then add the chocolate-whisky-butter mix. Sift the flour with the baking powder into the preparation, mixing. Add chopped nuts, mix, then pour into the pan.Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the top is golden and flaky. Cool and unmold when fully cooled.For frosting: melt the chocolate (microwave or Bain Marie) and add the cream.
