Black truffles from Abruzzo are sliced into perfectly thin slices, air-dried, and then carefully jarred so they stay intact. To use, just re-hydrate the slices with water, broth, milk or cream, or even a meat stock, and add them to the preparation. Use them whole and arrange over grilled or roasted meats, fish or poultry, or use to add flavor to sauces – truffles really shine on butter or cream-based sauces. Add drama and flavor to a cheese board by studding some of these slices on soft and creamy goat cheeses, or toss them into quiche, frittata or scrambled eggs.
