Orangette - French Orange Peel Enrobed in Fine Dark Chocolate
A classic confection, we adore these little citrusy treats of thin strips of orange peel artfully dipped in fine French bittersweet chocolate, for a zesty and sweet combination that is just addictive. The soft peel has that natural sweet-tart flavor of oranges, which matches beautifully with a thin layer of dark chocolate that complements without overwhelming.
These will make the delights of chocolate and candy lovers, so make sure to include them as part of a sweet birthday or anniversary gift. It’s the perfect companion to your coffee or tea, that sweet little bite to clinch the perfect dinner. But you can also be a little naughty and serve it to your guests alongside a fabulous chocolate espresso martini – so much better than an olive! For a gourmet Halloween treat idea, serve these in little orange bowls around the house, or wrap them up in orange cellophane and festive string – a trick for a delicious treat!
Our Orangettes come from Dragees Reynaud, a French confectionary powerhouse located in Marseilles, the heart of Provence. The company hails back to 1956, helmed by a husband and wife couple who started selling their specialties in this region so famous for its almond farms and confectionary. With a selection of old school candies that fill the heart with vintage joy, color and flavor, they have perfected the art of the “celebratory treat”, those adorable little edible details that adorn special occasions like baptisms and communions, weddings, showers and other unique events. These beautifully enrobed Orangettes are the perfect addition to their line of extraordinary products.
