Questions and Answers
Q:How do I cook whole lobes of fresh duck foie gras to be eaten cold for a crowd?
A:You can cook the foie gras normally and then serve it cold. Simply get a pan very hot over high heat, add the still frozen sliced foie, and cook it for one to two minutes per side or until golden brown.
Q:ONCE OUT OF THE CAN, HOW DOES ONE PREPARE FOIE GRAS.......OR IS IT EDIBLE OUT OF THE CAN?
A:The Fresh Duck Foie Gras Slices - Flash-Frozen come on a sealed plastic tray for the 2 slices version or in a sealed bag for the larger size of 20 slices bag. This is raw foie gras so it will need to be cooked. To cook them, just take these out of the package and sautee or pan fry them.
