Marrons Glaces - Candied Chestnuts
Marrons Glaces are considered a traditional Christmas confection in parts of France and Italy, but they make for a lovely gift or self-indulgent treat any time of year. Each fresh chestnut is meticulously peeled and candied in syrup for beautiful crystalization. Presented in a beautiful wooden box, they're the ideal festive gift and can be savored on their own. Alternatively, use as a garnish or staple ingredient in ice creams, cakes and other desserts. Store in a cool, dry place and eat within 10 weeks to enjoy them at the absolute peak of freshness.
